That day might not be far off when Science Fiction Movies might turn into reality. If you have seen the Film
'Hollow Man' that dealt with the state of Invisibility, you might think that such things are completely unearthly. But, you are very wrong.
It sounds like Magic: walls, curtains even dresses could be rendered transparent by bathing them in a specially crafted beam of light. Rescuers could use the beam to peer through rubble after an Earthquake, while Doctors could gaze at a damaged Lung after making the skin and the Ribs vanish. Magic and Science do after all, have their roots in a fundamental urge to make sense of the world so that we may manipulate it to our own ends. These Magicians and Wizards can be seen in the Royal Society
Britain's National Academy of Science.
A team led by Professor Chris Phillips, a Quantum Conjurer from Imperial College, London presented tantalizing evidence of how to make objects disappear. At the flick of a second he and his Colleague Dr. Mark Frogley can make something invisible , albeit just a fraction of a Millimeter square of a special material and only for a One Tenth Thousandth of a Millionth of a Second.
At present this might be small and for a flick of a second. But, it is indeed the start of such an Invention. Would it not be wonderful if we could peer through opaque objects and see what's beneath it? In many fields of Science it's a great need and even for commercial use.
But, I am thinking, what if such a device falls into the hands of Common Man. They would certainly try to peer through one
another's clothes. Beware; dresses could not help to cover you then. So, if you wan to truly clothed and dressed in the coming days, try to invent something that would even surpass the device that makes you and your clothes invisible.
