Keep their interest from the start to the finish.
Use real life situations that the reader can relate to. Use good descriptions and metaphors to clarify your point, but avoid doing it to the extent that you confuse your reader! Appropriate use of personal or familiar examples with powerful analogies or metaphors can make it easy for them to relate to what you are talking about. This means that the reader is engaging with you and will be encouraged to read on.
