There are many articles out there that state that there is a feud between professional writers and article writers who take part in ezine article submission sites. I'm an author. I'm not famous by any means, but maybe one day I will be. I am somewhat known in the independent writing scene. The authors who have big contracts may not know who Jeffery S. Miller is, and that's ok. There are a lot of writers who do.
I have taken heat for submitting articles on
article submission sites. Some have even taken cheap shots, and it's true some writers don't like people doing this. On the same token, I don't like a lot of things some writers do, but I'm not going to provoke a literary war over it. Some write online articles for fame, some do it for money, and some do it as a hobby. I enjoy writing articles. I haven't been doing it lately, but I'm getting back on track. I actively promote my website at the bottom of the article, hoping the kind readers will check out my site. I do promote the books that I have written, but if they don't feel like buying a book that will be ok. People are reading what I have to say and they are taken the time to visit my site. I am thankful for that.
Every online article writer is different. Just like each of us are different in our everyday lives. I am an opinionated person, so I write articles. It's a way to release what's on my mind and hopefully it will entertain a few folks. I don't feel I'm taking away from the writers who want to be paid. I'm sorry if you feel that way, and I hope you find work. We're not bad people. Many of us just enjoy doing this.
Writing online articles is an awesome way to promote yourself as a writer, business, or what have you. If you have been hesitant to try it out, I'd recommend you giving it a try. The ezine publishing industry is gaining ground. Sites like Alexa show that there is a demand for quality articles. Give it a try and gain credibility in your expertise.
