Amateur and Hobbyist Writers have a home indeed. That home is the online article submission sites, where a newbie writer can post their creative written works. As a brand new writer of only 16 months I see I am still learning how to write better and it is not an easy skill to learn.
Yet, the hard work is starting to pay off and I am half again better than I was when I started. Surely becoming a great writer or a professional writer takes time and work, but that should not stop you.
Recently I was told some of my writing contained too flowery alliteration in it. Perhaps the gentleman read one of my practice articles to better my writing where I tried to use a whole bunch of words, which started with one particular letter. He noted that my sentence structure could also be improved.
Hey, no doubt, I am an amateur hobbyist and he is right on that point. Regarding the sentence structure, I am an amateur writer of sorts as hobby
now, but I think most of my choice of words comes from what I read? Perhaps an imitation brain mechanism? Or reverting back to that type of sentence structure and choice of words between being a "real person" not a brain washed box or shackled cave dweller?
I suppose some day my writing will be worthy? Who knows, maybe not? But it is a skill I have been working on to get my ideas out, the flow so fast, I cannot even write them down fast enough. But I try and wrote 1111 articles this last month. So, my question to the amateur writer when are you going to start posting your articles to balance out all the professional writers stuffiness so the world will start reading again? Consider this in 2006.
