Do you know how to tell who is picking up and using your articles?
So you have some articles posted at EzineArticles.com and other big article directories. Good for you, keep them coming.
So now how do you know who is using your articles? Here are three tips for how to find out who is using your articles and how to build that relationship.
1. Copy and paste the title of your article into Google, Yahoo or other search engines. Be certain to put your title in quotation marks. For example
This is My Great Title.
will not work for our purposes here.
What will work is
"This is My Great Title."
So put your title, in quotation marks, into Google or Yahoo and hit search.
You will now see the list of places that are using your article.
2. If they are using your article correctly, which means there are active links in the resource box back to your site, send this email:
"I noticed that you are using my article "This is My Great Title" in your newsletter/website. I just wanted to drop you a note to say thank you and that there are lots more where that one came from. Please let me know how I can send you more articles."
3. If they are not using your article correctly with active links back to you, then send this email:
"I noticed that you are using my article "This is My Great Title" in your newsletter/website. Thank you for doing that. I also noticed that the links back to my site were not active or were missing. Please correct that for me so that there are active links back to my site. Thank you in advance for taking care of that for me. There are lots more articles where that one came from, so just let me know how I can get you some more in the future."
