If you can write clearly than you can make money with your writing. Writing has always been an excellent way to make money from home. Traditionally people wrote for magazines and newspapers, but with the advent of the Internet, new opportunities for writers have opened up. There are Web sites, ezines, weblogs, and ebooks all of which can make an enterprising writer money.
Sell Your Articles Online
If you have confidence in your writing ability then you can write articles on any subject that interests you and sell them to companies online. Studies show that people look for information on the Internet. If you have special skill or knowledge about computers, marketing, cooking, saving money or getting fit, then you can sell your knowledge.
Two places to start are Associated Content and Constant Content.
Associated Content (www.associatedcontent.com) allows you to sign up for free. You then submit your article into the form and within a few days or weeks you can get an offer for your article. You can offer exclusive rights meaning that you give all right to Associated Content or AC as it is sometimes called. You can also give non-exclusive rights to AC. This means that the same article can be sold again and again to different companies, not just to Associated Content. Reselling the same article is one of the best ways to make money as a writer. AC pays you though Paypal which most people find more convenient than waiting for a check to be mailed.
Constant Content (www.constant-content.com) works a little differently. Sign-up is free and you can submit your articles on the Constant Content or CC form. But with CC you only make money if the article is sold to a third-party. Constant Content is more of a middle-man and a place where you can showcase your writing. Constant Content gets 35% of all sales. (Originally it was 50%.) One good thing about CC is that you get to name your price. If you want to sell exclusive rights to your article for $25 or $100 then do it. If you want to sell non-exclusive rights for $12 then that is your choice and every time some buys your article you make $12, minus the commission to CC. One thing to note- CC has a $50 threshold. You will be paid via Paypal only when your account balance reaches $50 or more.
Calls for Submissions
Both Associated Content and Constant Content have sections on their websites listing articles wanted. Companies in need of stories on particular subjects will have a call for submissions that discusses the topic, the word count and the amount the company will pay. If you are interested simply write the article and submit it as you would any article. If your article is accepted you will be paid for your work.
Associated Content and Constant Content are two ways you can start earning money with your writing. As your confidence and clips (published article) increase, you can move on to more lucrative markets like magazine or newspapers. It is possible to make a full time living as a freelance writer. With writing skill and perseverance you can make money with your writing.
