One of the parts of my online business is running a couple of article directories where each day we get 100 or more articles submitted. Each and every morning when I check what's been submitted overnight I can immediately tell what the subject of the latest Public Label Rights Article packages are as I will have 10 articles on coin collecting or some other supposedly hot niche whereas there have been no similar articles for weeks before. Of those 10, 4 will be exactly the same, 4 will be very slightly different and 1 will be substantially changed and 1 will bare no resemblance to the original article. It is obvious which will be accepted and which will be rejected.
Personally I can't see the attraction of PLR articles, lots of people getting the same articles and focusing their attentions on the same niches can't make for big profits. The search engines spend millions of dollars on their algorithms and can spot similarities in content with amazing precision. So what's the solution? Write fresh informative original content yourself.
Most people don't attempt to write articles as they feel daunted by the blank page in front of them and feel that they will never fill it. If you can get over this fear and start to write you can write a good article in around 30 minutes. Once you have a system and a plan it is amazingly easy. To get started try to follow these simple rules.
Aim to make your articles 350 to 500 words long
Research your subjects by searching Google, Dmoz and Wiki and making notes.
Think of a topic for each paragraph. 5 paragraphs are usually sufficient
You will find it easier if you concentrate on writing paragraphs not the complete article.
Once you have your notes ready and have planned your paragraphs read through everything again and then just write it down from memory as if you were explaining the subject to someone. Once you have completed the 4 or 5 paragraphs place them in a logical order and read the article aloud at this point you will probably find that you make a few changes so that the article flows. You now have a perfectly original article that will stay indexed and help drive traffic to your site.
