Business Course - Part 26 |
Hi
, My boy was just like me. You will not have to
say this if you are in a home business.
Remember that Harry Chapin Song “The Cat’s in the Cradle?” It’s a
melancholy tune that traces a child growing up with a father who spends
the bulk of his time in the workforce rat race. In the end,
neither father nor son know each other well and there is a lot of regret
on the part of the dad who raised a son “just like me.” when he had a
choice of shifting to a home business.
We probably shouldn’t rely on 70s pop hits for career advice, but the song
makes a salient point. We tend to miss a great deal of our
children’s lives trying to provide for them. Our work becomes the
centerpiece of our lives, and we never seem to have enough time for
family.
Those who are a work at home business can find a way around that. They can
actually provide for their family while enjoying their company and
being a force in their lives. Is it easy? Not always. But it
is possible, especially when one is armed with solid advice about
balancing a work at home business with family. Take a look at a great
work at home resource to learn
more about how you can get out of the rat race and really start moving.
See you again with better tips ,!
